Busy Boys
James and Matteo, the producers behind Busy Boys and residents of BusyBoys Studio, started making music together just before the world slowed down in 2020. Using the quiet of the pandemic as a backdrop, they developed their creative partnership, specialising in pop and dance music.
Their latest release "Drive," is a collaboration that showcases their skills in writing and production, made alongside DJs PS1 and Tobtok and vocalist Georgia Meek. “Drive” has received support from various editorial playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday and New Dance Pop.
Their spin on the production of "Think" by Aretha Franklin for Revival Records has been played on BBC Radio 1 and 2.
Busy Boys have had sessions with a variety of artists and writers including Laura White, Hannah Boleyn, Brian Higgins, Tim Powell, Bow Anderson, James French, and Cameron Warren.
James and Matteo, each bring their unique experiences to Busy Boys. James has honed his skills by working with some of the industry's best, including TMS (Lewis Capaldi), Mark Ralph (Clean Bandit, Jax Jones), Jamie Snell (Dua Lipa), and James F. Reynolds (BTS, Calvin Harris). He has now built an impressive portfolio, mixing and mastering tracks for artists such as Liam Gallagher, Fred Again, New Era, Ice Spice, PinkPantheress, Victoria Canal, and more. Matteo's work boasts chart and radio successes in Malta, alongside contributions to the X-Factor and Malta’s Eurovision National Finals.
Looking ahead, Busy Boys are focused on what they love most: making music that gets people moving and continuing to explore new sounds.
